Remove Real Player Message Centre

If you're like me and you hate pop ups and the time you waste closing them, this is how to stop Real Player from sending you unsolicited messages and adverts. You don't need to use an ad blocking program to do this.

1. Start Real Player.
2. Click Tools.
3. Select Preferences.
4. Click Automatic Services in the left catagory menu.
5. Click the Configure Message Center button.
6. Uncheck Check for new messages.
7. Uncheck Show Message Center icon in the System Tray.
8. Click OK.
9. You will see a warning message of the dire consequences of not allowing them to annoy you - click Yes.
10. Close Real Player.

If you have problems starting Real Player do the following:-

1. Click Start.
2. Click Run.
3. Type realplay and click OK.
4. If Real Player is installed on your computer, it will now open.
5. Follow the previous instructions from number 2.
